A published price and nothing to apologize for
About the role
episki is an Autonomous GRC platform. Compliance teams use it to run SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA and a dozen other frameworks without the spreadsheet sprawl and the per-framework upcharges the rest of the category runs on. The platform is $7,500 a year, published on the pricing page, with every framework and every user included.
That last part is most of your pitch. The people you will talk to have just been quoted per seat, or told that adding ISO 27001 costs extra, or asked to sign a three-year deal to get a reasonable first-year number. You get to be the straightforward conversation in a category that has trained buyers to expect the opposite.
A note on timing, because it matters. This role is not live yet. Paid search starts this week, and the seat opens when inbound demand supports it — the trigger is twenty to twenty-five qualified demos a month. Today it is under ten. We would rather tell you that now than put a posting up for a job that cannot be funded for another quarter.
So apply if this is the kind of thing you want next. We will come back to you when it is real, and you will be at the front of a short line. If you are the sort of person who reads "the pipeline is still being built" and finds that interesting rather than alarming, we should talk sooner rather than later.
What you'll actually do
- Run discovery and demos for compliance and security leaders — mostly inbound, from paid search, the comparison pages, and the content library.
- Own the follow-up completely: every conversation leaves with a next step and a date, and nothing sits in a queue going stale.
- Close. You carry a number, and at a $13–21k contract value that is roughly two to three new customers a month at plan.
- Keep the pipeline honest in HubSpot. A forecast nobody trusts is worse than no forecast.
- Get new customers through onboarding and to their first real outcome, then hand ongoing advisory to an Operator Partner.
- Bring back the objections that keep repeating, so they get answered on the comparison pages instead of on the fifteenth call.
- Supplement inbound with your own outbound early on, while paid search is still ramping.
What we're looking for
- One to three years in inside sales, SDR, or account management at a software company — or a track record somewhere else that shows the same thing.
- Comfortable demoing a technical product to people who will interrupt with hard questions about scoping and audit evidence.
- Follow-up discipline as a personality trait, not a resolution. This is the actual job.
- Writing that is plain and precise. Most of this role is written: follow-ups, recaps, proposals, answers to security questionnaires about us.
- Willingness to learn compliance well enough to be genuinely useful. You do not need to arrive knowing SOC 2, but you cannot stay uninterested in it.
- Comfort selling at a published price. There is no discount ladder to hide behind, and that takes a particular kind of confidence.
Helpful, not required
- Any exposure to GRC — SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA — from any angle: you sold it, you bought it, or you got pulled into an audit.
- You have sold against Vanta, Drata, Secureframe, or Sprinto and know what they say in the room.
- HubSpot fluency, including building the sequences rather than only working them.
- Experience at a company early enough that you built the process rather than inherited it.
What this role is not
- Not enterprise field sales. These are four-to-six-week cycles with a small buying committee, run over video.
- Not a pure SDR seat. You close your own deals rather than passing them to someone senior.
- Not a role with a team feeding you leads. Paid search is starting now, and early on you will create some of your own pipeline.
- Not a discounting job. The price is published, and the answer to a demand for 40% off is a real conversation about scope.
- Not a customer success role. You get customers to first value, then ongoing advisory goes to a vetted Operator Partner.
